As any responsible Alpha would do, I’ve decided to take action — we’re off to bigger and ah-mazingly better places!
Meet me and the rest of The Pretty Committee at www.TheCliqueMovie.com. I know you’ll heart it as much as we do – it’s the gathering place for GLUs! Don’t take too long to join us - there are major gossip points awaiting.
Laytah!!

Scent-sations
63 Comments Published by Massie July 22nd, 2008 in Social, Girl Stuff, Fashion!!, Ehmagawd!Finding a signature scent is an absolute must for every Alpha! When the weather is sunny, I turn to yummy fruity fragrances! My new signature scent is Michael Kors Island Capri which everyone totally hearts. It’s sunny, light and smells like sweet vacation. Of course, my dilemma now is how I trade off with my other new favorite, Pink Sugar. It is SO scrumptious! It’s no surprise that I’d find two new scents that are to die for. And I love that perfumes smell slightly different on each person, so no one can have the same scent as me. So, what’s your signature scent?
What’s Hawt Now
97 Comments Published by Massie July 15th, 2008 in Social, Girl Stuff, Fashion!!, Current State of the Union, Massie- Colorful sundresses – The bolder the color, the better. It’s summer, show off your tan
- Barely-there lips – Just a little gloss. The natural look is totally hawt right now.
- Short, jewel-toned nails – The short length lets you play around with vibrant colors without looking overdone, a total no-no. My fave color is an ah-mazing purple called ‘Star of the Party’. Coincidence? Ahb-viously not!
- Embellished flats – Now, I ah-dore my kitten heels, but strappy, jeweled flats are so in this summer and totally cute.
- Statement necklaces – I’ve said it before, but it is worth repeating. Chunky, colorful necklaces are a total must! They make a boring white tank and jeans perfectly chic.
- Ruby red oversized sunglasses - So cute! (But nawt paired with red lipstick. Ewww. It’s one or the other.)
Ehmagawd, this Saturday will not be a mere shopping excursion for TPC, we are setting out on a mission. I mean, finding an ah-mazing Little Black Dress is not a task for the faint of heart! Ah-greed? My dad’s annual awards dinner is coming up and I’ve decided that sophisticated classic is the way to go. Aw-nestly, you never know exactly who will show up to these events and of course a GLU must always be prepared. So, I just have to find a LBD that is both classic and ah-mazing with a splash of true brilliance! (Which does nawt include sequins. Ewwww!) Any ideas?
Break out the SPF, the weather is beautiful! And what better way to celebrate sunny skies than by throwing the ultimate tropical garden pool party!? Puh-lease, it’s already in the works! Just imagine a tropical paradise vibe with hundreds of tropical flowers, tiki torches, waterfalls and pink lemonade and lime shaved ice. So delish! (Of course all the hawt Briarwood boys will be there, absolutely luh-ving the catered luau.) It’s a given that even though this was ahb-viously my fabulous idea, Landon is planning it down to the last detail. Now, as Alpha and hostess, my attire is most crucial. So, in keeping with the tropical garden party theme, I’ll be looking flirty and chic by wearing bright colors, totally hawt this season. I’m wearing my new pink bandeau bikini (so yummy) with an ah-dorable green Marc Jacobs linen blouse paired with my new True Religion mini. My ensemble will be completed with my new embellished Tory Burch flats and gorgeous silk beaded bangles, of course. So, what’s your favorite way of celebrating nice weather? Laytah ladies!
I have decided that the next social soiree is most definitely due, and TPC is all in agreement…it is time to start planning the event of the season! (I would say the event of the year, but aw-nestly, we all know that each of my parties is better than the last!) So…I was thinking a “Roaring 20s” theme would be perfect. There’s nothing better than a great costume party for showing off one’s spectacular originality (and let’s face it, it’s the perfect excuse to dress well). So now that I’ve gotten my parents to agree to the concept, we’re putting a ‘spare no expense’ plan into action and it’s time for TPC to begin planning and inviting. I’ve already booked Landon Dorsey, world-renowned party planner, and of course Jakkob, along with personal shoppers and caterers…and everything is coming together! I will certainly keep you all posted as to the exciting new developments. Ta Ta…off to plan the next IT event…
This weekend, my mom suddenly decided she wanted to do a mother-daughter bonding activity. I am usually a little suspicious (unless it has to do with shopping or some sort of beauty treatment) but this time, even though the event sounded a little odd at first, it was totally beneficial! A Colorologist came to the house for the afternoon to do our color charts. It turns out Colorstrology is like astrology, numerology and color analyst/stylist combined. It is used to shed light on your personality and your life’s path, and identify what colors are best suited for you. It was aw-nestly a lot of fun, especially since I found out that my chart is ruled by my already favorite color, purple. Coincidence? I think not. The Colorologist said that purple relates to my natural leadership abilities and that wearing it reinforces my charisma and my strong artistic side. Not to brag, but duh. It’s like I was a natural colorologist already. What colors do you think are best for you, and why?
Ehmagawd! Time for some major gossip points! I was at the mall this afternoon where I spotted an EW who had ahb-viously fallen victim to a tragic spray tan disaster. When I said coral-cantaloupe was a hot color for spring, I certainly didn’t mean as a skin tone! Aw-nestly, she was science experiment orange. It always surprises me that people will actually be seen in public after such a mishap. I could tell that she had gone to one of those gawd-awful booth places. Seriously, if you’re going to spray tan (which I do strongly suggest instead of laying out in the sun because while that may save a few pennies, you pay a fortune in wrinkles!) you MUST get it done professionally. DUH! Like any good salon treatment, getting the perfect glow takes professional precision — and a hand-held tanning gun. Ah-greed!? Anyone been down, or witnessed someone go down, the unfortunate road of tanning gone wrong?
